Issues of creating pedagogical content of electronic textbooks via quantication off study texts with test assignments are discussed. The advantages of electronic textbooks as compared to the traditional ones are shown. In accordance with the denition of “electronic textbook” as a program-methodological complex variants of electronic textbooks are presented, the content of each one is shown, the character of assignments that ideally contain a computer program of adaptive control over the learning process of texts and doing the assignments that technological tools of intellectual development, education and training facilitating the learning activity and teaching efciency.
