“Spanglish”: from the emergence to modern days. The history and the reasons of development

The article deals with the issue of the emergence of such a linguistic phenomenon as “Spanglish”, its development to the status of a mixed language and related to it aspects. The distribution of this linguistic phenomenon on the territory of the border states of America and Mexico and the former Spanish colonies subjected to Americanization are being investigated. The issues of the predominance of one of the constituent languages in Spanglish, the emergence of its various dialects under the influence of social, economic and migration aspects during and as a result of the Spanish-American and American-Mexican wars are being studied. Additionally, the further spread of “Spanglish” and its development in the framework of modern realities are considered.
