This article focuses on some aspects of digital art formation amidst the transition of modern society into a new stage of evolution, which is characterized by the spread of information technology in all areas of life. Digital art is interpreted not only in terms of its media, but also as a component of a particular social timeline and the temporality of contemporary art. The article describes the new narrative formats of the XXI century art objects, most of which are concerned with global problems and the spread of COVID-19. There are examples of working with modern digital fine art themes. It is concluded that fine art, which has received a new development impetus in the context of the information society, appears in sociological optics as a result of the creator’s perception of a transforming reality. This stimulates art to search for innovative forms of expression of its conception, to use previously inaccessible means, mainly the digital ones. Although these means cannot be considered perfect in terms of realization of artistic possibilities, they should be recognized as promising in terms of integration of art and information technology.
