The specifics of the selection of educational texts in teaching Russian as a foreign language in a non-linguistic university

The revision of the content of teaching Russian as a foreign language (hereinafter - RFL) requires the use of educational texts, the content of which reflects the communicative situations of everyday and professional communication. The purpose of the study is to describe the specifics of the selection of educational texts for mastering RFL by students of a non-linguistic university. The article defines the text and its types used in the course of mastering RFL for professional purposes: educational and authentic; hypertext and cybertext, having a multimedia character. The article describes artificially created educational texts for mastering RFL in a non-linguistic university at the initial stage of education and adapted educational texts at an advanced stage. It is stated that the integrity and semantic completeness of the content and linguistic aspects of educational texts are respected; their linguistic accessibility and the need to comply with the stage of mastering communicative competence when using them in the educational process are emphasized. In this context, the specifics of the selection of educational texts for teaching students professional communication skills in the RFL course are revealed. The study of the possibilities of including hypertexts and cybertexts in the category of educational texts used by RFL teachers to introduce students of non-linguistic universities to the discussion of communicative situations of a professional nature is promising.
