Peculiarities of the sectoral structure of the economy of the Altai region

The article deals with the current state of the sectoral structure of the economy of the Altai Region. There were revealed the main features of its formation and development on the example of the prevailing sectors of the economy (industry and agriculture). The relevance of the study lies in the analysis of the development of the regional economy in the context of sanctions and their impact on the functioning of the regional economic system. The author also studied the key areas for the production of import-substituting products by enterprises of the Altai Region, the participation of regional companies in ensuring national security, including the food and pharmaceutical sectors. On the basis of the analysis, key achievements, limitations and challenges of the regional economy were identified.
