The specifics of the transmission of epithets in verbal content

This article discusses the functional styles of speech, defines the concept of translation, lists the main stylistic requirements of the text and ways of epithets transmission. Based on the analysis of the original (German-language) and translated (Russian-language) versions of the documentary "Russland von oben" \ "Russia from Above", the specifics of epithets transmission and difficulties encountered by the interpreter of translation of audiovisual content were revealed.
