Specifics of the translation of parliamentary speech

This article is devoted to the specifics of the translation of political speeches, namely parliamentary speech on the material of the French language. The purpose of modern political speech is to attract the attention of the audience, as well as influence the listeners to achieve certain goals. The translator, as an intermediary, needs not only to identify the features of speech, but also to correctly convey them in another language. The article discusses the concepts of "political discourse", "parliamentary speech", "theory of speech acts", analyzes the speeches of politicians.
