Specific transformation of English phraseological units

A group of phraseological units, which are distinguished by linguistic stability and unique originality, is considered. By means of a structural-semantic review of the material, a group of idioms is analyzed that present problems from the point of view of the adequacy of translation. The most effective methods for translating English idioms are presented. The results of the study of idioms can be used in the study of lexicology and phraseology. The practical value of the work lies in subsequent research in the field of theory and practice of translation and problems of intercultural communication.
