The specifics of the initial stage of the investigation of the circulation of falsified, substandard and unregistered medicines, medical devices

Today one of the most urgent problems in the healthcare system is the production and sale of counterfeit, substandard or unregistered medicines, medical products or biologically active additives that pose a real threat to the health of citizens, the healthcare system and the state as a whole. In the article, the author presents statistical data characterizing the current situation in the field of pharmaceutical products circulation. Particular attention is paid to the investigation of crimes related to the illegal circulation of pharmaceuticals. It is concluded that the effectiveness of the investigation of the illegal circulation of pharmaceuticals directly depends on the coordinated joint work of all stakeholders: operational law enforcement officers, the investigator and other knowledgeable persons.
