Specifics of professional formation of foreign students in Russian universities

The article considers the common features and differences of the phenomena designated by the concepts of “professional formation”, “professional development” and “professional training”. The author’s definition of the key concept of the study “professional formation” is proposed. The stages, components and sources of professional formation, the conditions for the success of this process are determined. The criteria for assessing the course of the process of professional formation of foreign students are identified.
