Specificity of work of the animated film producer

The subject of the research is work of animation film producer at three main stages – preparatory, production and post-production. The purpose of the article is to analyze the work of the producer, to identify the functional range of his duties, to make an algorithm of actions, to outline the relationship of producer with other participants of the project. The article deals with such aspects of the preparatory period as the creation of a detailed work plan, the development of a guide to the visual style, the selection of actors for the voice characters, the creation of storyboards, animatics, the involvement of the composer, preliminary work with distributors. The activities of the producer at the production stage, including control over the development of history and production design, following the schedule and finding within the budget, monitoring the overall status of the project, advertising and promotion of the project, were also studied. The main stages of creating 3D animation, such as the development of layout, modeling and construction of the scene, animation, detailing characters, overlay visual effects, lighting and layout In addition, the author considers the work of specialists in sculpting, rigging, texturing, rendering. Studied stage, post-production, the work of producer with post-production manager, composer, sound designer, music editor. The author considers such aspects of the activities of producer as coordination of the connection of the production Department from editorial, the organization of light and color samples, color correction, dubbing, creation of copies of the film, the progress of the project, the creation of an archive for storage and future use of audio and visual performance teams, creating titles, and quality control of the finished material. The author explores the connections of producer with other representatives of audiovisual business – with the customer of animation production, producers of consumer goods, marketing and advertising agencies, distributors are investigated. The documentation compiled by the producer is given. The article outlines recommendations for optimizing the work of the producer of the animated film.
