The specifics of social adaptation in old age

The article discusses the features of the social adaptation of an elderly person in modern Russia. Adaptability is needed because an older person changes social roles and statuses. The author suggests ways of successful and effective adaptation of people in old age to changing living conditions through the formation and stimulation of their social activity.
