Development and validation of English language proficiency assessment tools for students of various fields of study

The present study is devoted to the pressing issue of designing reliable and valid instruments for determining the level of English language proficiency among university students across various fields of study. Current requirements of international standards are examined, as well as innovative testing techniques ensuring accurate measurement of linguistic competencies, irrespective of a chosen specialization. The suggested guidelines for applying the developed tools focus on practical needs of educators and aim at achieving high-quality training outcomes.
