Method of selection of heterozygous imidazolinone-resistant sunflower plants in phytotron

An imidazolinone-resistant sunflower inbred line RHA426, susceptible inbred line VK508 and F1 VK508ЧRHA426 were treated with herbicide Pulsar, VR (40 g/l) in a chamber with artificial climate conditions. The results of experiment showed phenomenon of dose-effect in all genotypes tested. Herbicide dose of 0,25x (0,75 ml Pulsar per 1 l water) allows conducting selection of heterozygous plants in backcross generation when imidazolinone-resistant analogues of the lines in phytotron conditions being developed.
