Method of calculation of temperaments of man and robots

The paper presents author's definitions of robot's emotions and prevailing type of temperament. The definition of harmonic emotion as a special case of robot's emotion is introduced. The derivation of formula of the predominating type of temperament based on the harmonic emotion is given. We present ranges of numerical values of temperaments corresponding to predominating types of melancholic, phlegmatic, sanguine and choleric temperament. The paper describes algorithms of calculation of temperament numerical values based on processing of the amplitude of a sound wave arriving at an audio input of the computer robot through a microphone. A brief description of the program for calculation of the prevailing type of human temperament is provided. The paper presents the results of verification of the mathematical model of harmonic-based temperament by natural experiments with humans. The performed experiments demonstrate the possibility of application of the mathematical model of robot's temperament for determining the predominating type of human temperament.
