Grammaticalization of synchronicity and diachronicity functional categories in Chinese language

The article is devoted to the term of taxis categories of synchronicity and diachronicity in Chinese descriptive and narrative texts. The starting point for a theoretical understanding of the facts of this language is an idea, according to which the lager-thensentence structures have some fixed patterns (the concept of O.A. Nechaeva). Based on the analysis of the Chinese narrative texts, the author makes an assumption about how narration as a type of speech determines the choice of taxis indicators.
