Ways to reflect social justice in the media and new media in Russia

The ways of reflecting the idea of social justice in Russia through the mass media and new media have gone a long way from journalism and investigative journalism to humorous illustrations and videos. The authors of each era used different approaches, styles and genres, but the goal remained the same - positioning social justice as a significant and necessary category for mankind, without which a comfortable and happy existence is impossible. The aim of this article is to examine the historical path of journalism in the context of broadcasting social justice, to study the ways of delivering information to the audience, types and formats of thematic content from XIX to XXI centuries. It analyzes archival journalistic publications and videos by Russian authors devoted to the topic of social justice, as well as modern humorous and ironic content on Internet sites. The study of the peculiarities of the reflection of the idea of justice in the mass consciousness has shown that new media and various communication formats for expressing the population’s opinion are in demand and necessary today, including due to their accessibility, simplicity of presentation and ease of perception.
