Comparison of two method of artificial infection of oil flax seeds with fusariose pathogen in vitro

Бесплатный доступ

We tested two methods of artificial infection of oil flax seeds with fusariose pathogen in vitro in order to conduct second screening of the selected perspective strains-antagonists. The both methods appeared to be promising. First method consists of placing oil flax seeds on surface of 15-days colonies of Fusarium pathogen. We recommended to use an aggressive isolate Fusarium poae (Peck) Wollenw., in Lewis. (1) here, it infected about 80% of germinating seeds in three days. The isolate Fusarium oxysporum Schlecht. emend. Shyd. et Hans. var. orthoceras (App. et Wr.) Bilai can be used if it is necessary to create a middle infection plot. In seven days it infected 55 %, and in ten days - 70% of seedlings. Second method consists of placing oil flax seeds on surface of 15-days colonies of Fusarium pathogen which are covered with sterile filter paper. In this case, the isolate Fusarium oxysporum var. orthoceras infecting 55% of seedlings in seven days and 95% in ten days can be used.
