This article is a comparative analysis of two educational systems: Chinese and Russian. The basis for comparison is the criterion of the effectiveness of practical training in higher education, which is based on the possibility of educational innovations. She also considers the humanistic ideas of a new era in pedagogy related to music education, which are a departure from the canons of traditional society.
