Comparative efficacy of streptokinase and tenecteplase in patients with acute myocardial infarction at the prehospital stage

The aim of this study was to determine the comparative efficacy and safety of streptokinase and tenecteplase in acute myocardial infarction at the prehospital stage. Patients with indications to prehospital thrombolysis (n=170) were randomized into two groups: group 1 included patients who received intravenous injection of 750,000 U of streptokinase over 5 to 10 min (n=86); group 2 consisted of patients who received tenecteplase in a dose according to the patients weight (n=84). The reperfusion signs were registered 90 min after thrombolysis. The sign of coronary reperfusion was STsegment decrease by ≥50% in the lead with its highest elevation.
