Comparative assessment of coronary stenting anti-ischemic efficacy in patients having ischemic heart disease with low left ventricular ejection fraction and drug treatment

Data of 1-year prospective follow-up were used for assesment of clinical course, prognosis and efficacy of coronary stenting and drug treatment of 86 patients with ischemic heart disease, stenosing coronary atherosclerosis and low or maintained left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF). It was found that 1-year cardiovascular mortality was significantly higher in patients with low LVEF subjected to drug treatment only (25,7% versus 4,3%) in patients with low LVEF and coronary artery stenting.
