Rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament is one of the most frequently reported causes of pelviclimbdys function in dogs, accompanied by the development of destructive processes, which reduces the full use of animals in the service and socialspheres. The aim of the work was to diagnose and treat anterior cruciate ligament rupture in dogs. To compare the effectiveness of 2surgical treatment methods (fabello-tibial suture and tibial plateau equalizing osteotomy) for rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament in dogs. Tibial alignment osteotomy is a priority and universal method of treating anterior cruciate ligament rupture, suitable for both small and large breeds of dogs, promotes more stable fixation of the knee joint, early support capacity and a shorter rehabilitation period (8-10weeks). The fabello-tibial suture method is easy to perform and cost-effective, but is not suitable for dogs weighing more than 15 kg. Restoration of the function of the diseased limb occurs after 16-18 weeks.
