Comparative evaluation of methods for postoperative pain blood loss in hip arthroplasty

Бесплатный доступ

The aim of the study was to investigate the effects of different postoperative analgesia methods on extent of blood loss in patients (n=120) who underwent primary total hip arthroplasty. The evaluation of the extent of blood loss and the dynamics of red blood hematological indicators was carried out at five stages: the day before surgery, immediately after surgery, at the end of the first day of surgery, and at days 3 and 5 after surgery. In the postoperative period, opioid, multimodal, and prolonged peridural analgesia were used. The study showed that different methods of postoperative analgesia differently affected the extent of blood loss after primary total hip arthroplasty. Prolonged peridural analgesia statistically significantly reduced the extent of blood loss exerting adequate postoperative analgesia.
