Comparative radiological evaluation of segmental disc lordosis in the cervical spine in dogs with cervical spondylomyelopathy

This article shows angle measurement methods of intervertebral bodies lordosis in dogs with and average angular differences in normal dogs and in dogs with cervical spondylomyelopathy. Based on this article, it is possible to increase percentage of successful surgical correction in dogs with cervical spondylomyelopathy. Based on the study, it should be noted that in dogs diagnosed with cervical spondylomyelopathy, the angle of segmental disc lordosis significantly changes - in healthy dogs, the average angle is 5.6°, and in dogs with Wobbler syndrome - 9.8°.
