The article is concerned with comparative analysis of influence of intonation and particles on word order in the Erzya and the Finnish language sentence. The author examines the written monological speech, where the word order is often based on the rule of the progressive sequence, at which the thought goes from a theme to a rheme. But in the stylized informal speech (moreover in live informal speech) actual division on the main part of the sentence is expressed not only by the sequence of statement components, but also by intonation. Intonation and particles in studied languages add to the word or the whole phrase various semantic connotations. Most often particles join words on which the logical accent falls, and respectively occupy a certain place in the phrase. Particles in the Erzya and Finnish languages are dependent, they can't act as sentence parts, independently distribute the word or the phrase. Its main function - introduction of various connotations they can only demonstrate in relation to other word.
