Comparative analysis of the institution of ownership in Roman law and in the Russian Federation

In the article, the authors conduct a comparative analysis of the institution of ownership in Roman law and in the Russian Federation. The analysis will cover the main aspects, including the concept of ownership, types, methods of occurrence and loss of ownership, and its protection, which will make it possible to identify the similarities and differences between the two systems. A comparative analysis will reveal the shortcomings of the Russian civil legislation on the issue of ownership. Based on the identified similarities, it will be possible to conclude that it can be recycled into the Civil Code of the Russian Federation.
