Comparative analysis of social well-being studies in Russian science

The article analyzes various approaches to the study of social well-being, which are relevant for modern science. The comparative study of research works identifies four main approaches to the analysis of social well-being, identifies the possible origins of each of them, specifies the indicators used by researchers to establish the key characteristics of social well-being, as well as the data acquisition methods by different scientists. It is concluded that social well-being is an integral indicator, and the methods and tools for its research are very diverse. Their choice often depends on the specifics of the subject of study, its objectives, the researcher's capabilities, as well as diagnostic tools available to them. It has been noted that specialists give preference to the integrality of indicators in order to obtain a more complete picture of the state of the phenomenon under study.
