A comparative analysis of Korean disyllabic idioms and Chinese synonymic idioms

The presented article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the Korean disyllabic idioms and Chinese synonymic idioms, from which they originated. The article defines the term kosa sôngô and specifies of the quantitative hieroglyphic composition of these expressions. The article compares Korean disyllabic hieroglyphic idioms with Chinese synonyms, which in Chinese are words with both direct and figurative meaning, quadrisyllabic kosa sôngô (chengyu) and proverbs. The analysis of idioms is presented in the form of tables, which include the idioms themselves in Korean and Chinese, the number of hieroglyphs entering into their composition, the reading of the hieroglyphs, the translation of the direct and figurative meaning of idioms, and the number of matching symbols in both expressions. Also, the work includes examples of the use of some idioms in Korean speech with translation into Russian.
