The comparative analysis of unstable and stable chromosomal aberrations in persons exposed in utero in the course of different prenatal periods as a result of Chernobyl accident

The group of children exposed in utero in the course of different prenatal periods as a result of Chernobyl accident was cytogenetically examined. All of them live in the radioactive contaminated territories. It was found that the frequency of chromosomal aberrations and the sum of dicentricas and centric rings (radiation markers) are exhibited for the 1st gestational period (0-8 weeks). All the children exposed in utero in the course of 1st prenatal periods have got a stable chromosomal aberrations.
