Comparative analysis of investigation and its elements in Russia and China

Throughout the article a comparative model is built, covering the criminal procedure law in both Russia and China. The article presents detailed results of studying several elements of investigation in the two countries. The analysis is supported by legal documents and works of domestic and foreign jurists. The changes and development overall of the Chinese criminal procedure law is described in detail. It took its roots from the Soviet Union's procedure law regulation. Moreover, the work highlights the main differences between our domestic legislation and our Eastern colleagues'. Whereas in Russia every step and action of the investigation is detailly regulated, Chinese law consists of many generalizing articles where specific provisions are veiled.
