Comparative analysis of the reading subtest in the Russian as a foreign language test of the second level in Russia and the eighth level in China

Statement of the problem. With the continuous development of relations between China and Russia, more and more Chinese students are willing to come to Russia to study. The test in Russian as a foreign language (including the Reading subtest as a receptive speech activity) is an important tool for measuring the level of Russian language proficiency. The purpose of the article is to take into account the content and qualities of linguodidactic testing, conduct a comparative analysis of the Reading subtest in the Russian as a foreign language test of the second level in Russia and the eighth level in China. Research methodology. The following methods are used in this article: analytical method, synthetic method, comparative method, descriptive method, observational method and structural method. Research results and discussion. The study shows the content and examination requirements of the Reading subtest in the Russian as a foreign language test of the second level in Russia and the eighth level in China, and also compares and analyzes the Reading subtest in two test systems from the point of view of the quality of linguodidactic testing, especially the content validity and practicality, including the quantity of texts, their total number in each subtest, the number of passive vocabulary, the number of new words and the topics of the texts of each test. The results can be used as a basis for developing future test questions. Conclusion. As a result of the study, relevant proposals for the development of the Reading subtest have been made.
