The article presents the results of a study of pre-milking technologies for preparing cows' udders for milking. The studies were conducted at the Mukhametshin Z.Z. farm in the Sabinsky District of the Republic of Tatarstan. A comparative analysis of traditional milking technology and the scrubber application technology for udder preparation was conducted. It was found that the total microbial count in the first five streams of milk was 6 times higher than in the second five streams. Pre-milking treatment of the udder with a scrubber does not allow the first streams of milk to be milked to the required extent. Scrubbers also clean the skin of the udder teats worse than treatment with a foam solution followed by wiping with a napkin.
