Means of ecological awareness raising when teaching students majoring in natural sciences

This article is devoted to students’ ecological awareness development. It contributes to the ideas about substantive and practical aspects of pedagogical work aimed at harmonious personal development. The goal of the present research is to reveal the means of ecological awareness development of students majoring in natural sciences. The author has come to the conclusion that in English classes teachers are able to provide the students with the basic information that would allow them to choose the most effective ways of further ecological awareness development as inseparable part of students’ professional awareness since their major is a natural science. In order to verify the initial suppositions, a variety of interelated methods corresponding to the subject of the research were used: relevant works analysis, methods of comparison and observation, direct and indirect observation.
