The research problem and the rationale for its relevance. The article analyzes the system of advanced training of basketball coaches. The system of professional development of basketball coaches is aimed at the development of professional and personal qualities and should be organized in different aspects of the coaching profession are developed. Therefore, it is necessary to determine such training tools that would help to form the teaching skills of basketball coaches in the system of advanced training. The goal of research. The authors emphasized the goal of the research is to determine the means of formation of teaching skills of basketball coaches in the system of advanced training. Methodology (materials and methods During the process of determining the tools of teaching skills formation of basketball coaches in the system of advanced training the personal-oriented approach was used, as the formation of teaching skills includes the development of professional and personal qualities of a basketball coach. Based on the chosen approach, the author identified teaching tools for the formation of a set of necessary moral qualities and values that determine the teaching skills of a basketball coach.
