Standards of evidence in criminal law

The article discusses the concept of "standard of evidence", provides the main criteria of the standards of proof used in the countries of Anglo-Saxon law. The reasons for the lack of standards of proof in domestic legislation are considered, as well as the opinions of various authors on this topic. The author comes to a twofold conclusion about the need to introduce standards of proof into the existing legal system and provides arguments in favor of both development options.
