Описаны проблемы обеспечения компетентности при использовании тестов и обеспечения эффективности и безопасности тестирования. Акцент делается на применении тестирования в сфере персонала. Представлен обзор изменений взаимоотношений между поставщиками и пользователями тестов вследствие развития технических разработок. Сделан обзор некоторых действующих стандартов и руководств по применению тестов, их качества и проведения оценки. Описана деятельность EFPA (Европейской Федерации психологических ассоциаций) совместно с другими международными организациями.
