Genesis and dynamics of English realism in the works of scholars of the department of world literature and culture of Perm State University

The essay describes English literature studies on the representatives of the Department of World Literature and Culture of Perm State University. The publications under analysis are dedicated to the writers of the English realism of the XIX century. The researchers, A.A. Belskiy, M.V. Petrova, M.V. Fomenko, E.P. Khanzhina, T.G. Chubarova, R.F. Yashenkina, etc. of the novels written by such English writers as Maria Edgeworth, Jane Austen, Susan Ferrier, Charles Dickens, William M. Thakeray, Anthony Trollope ect. not only contributed to the understanding of the poetics, genre, historical and national features of the English literature of the XIX century, but proved the theory of never broken tradition of realistic tendencies in English literature.
