Formation of professional music education in Mongolia: statement of the problem of research

In the article the relevance of the retrospective analysis of practice of training of professionals in the field of musical art in the context of humanitarian problems of mankind is substantiated. Chronological frameworks are designated for a complex study of history of professional music education in Mongolia (1937-2017). A hypothetical statement is put forward that formation of professional music education in Mongolia is based on organic combination of traditions and pedagogical innovations, which actualize content and forms of musical and educational process and predict its further development. The theoretical and methodological bases of the research (culturological approach in art, culturological approach in pedagogy, methodology of pedagogy in music education, concept of musical and historical process, civilizational and paradigmatic approaches to study the history of pedagogy), are designated, the research methods (comparative-historical and historical- retrospective), the sources base of the research are defined. The scientific novelty of the research is defined by the features of formation of professional music education in Mongolia, the input of new archival documents in a scientific turn and statistical materials. It is supposed that the obtained theoretical and applied results will allow to improve the process of reforming the professional music education in Mongolia.
