The degree of autonomy of educational organizations: opinions of the Russian schools’ management staff

The experts who analyzed the results of PISA studies in the educational systems of the OECD countries revealed a direct correlation between the autonomy of an educational organization and the results of its activities. Extrapolation of PISA results to the domestic educational system is possible only with unified theoretical approaches to understanding the semantic units “autonomy” and “autonomy of an educational organization”, as well as a sociological study, the respondents of which are the heads of Russian educational organizations. The authors of the article make an attempt to identify the main factors affecting the assessment of their own autonomy by school leaders. The analysis is carried out on the basis of the results of an All-Russian sociological study conducted in 2021 by the Research Center for Education Quality Assessment and Management Systems of the RANEPA Federal Education Development Institute.
