The present study continues the tradition of Barnaul-Kemerovo scientific school of personology that focuses on the study of the language features of the individual, and this paper is devoted to the study of the degree of manifestation metalinguistic consciousness, as a result of textual activity of unprofessional linguistic personality. The aim of the article is to identify the correlation between degrees of metalinguistic consciousness manifestation and tendencies to personalization and depersonalization during text perception and text making. The material for the study is based on secondary texts on the artwork created by students in the course of the experiment without any preparation. The scientific article is based on the main concepts of linguistic personology, namely, linguistic personality, text, secondary text, metatekst, metatext activities, etc. We rely on the fact that linguistic personality can manifest itself, its linguistic, personological abilities while having text activity, which, in turn, is the result of speech activity, i.e., when creating the text, in this case secondary. Participants of the experiment create their secondary texts based on the primary text and we get metatext statements while analyzing them. Thus, the analysis of secondary texts is a way to identify the degrees of metalinguistic consciousness manifestation. The ability to create metatexts, namely, metatextual ability of different linguistic personalities manifests itself in different ways, which is of particular interest for us. Here we rely on the classification N. D. Golev: «silent» or implicit level of metalinguistic consciousness, intuitive level, the empirical reflection, evaluation, level of theorizing constructed in accordance with the principle of graduality. However on the basis of the material, we consider it is necessary to isolate a logic level as the highest degree of manifestation of metalinguistic consciousness. Thus during the analysis, it was noted that in these texts all of the mentioned above degrees take place, but the empirical reflection metalinguistic consciousness tends to dominate. The peculiarity of this study is also in the fact that we are working exclusively with secondary texts both during the text perception and the text making. Based on the trend towards personalization and depersonalization we identify the level of recognition of the authors by the participants at two levels. This allows to see how exactly a person actualizes its language abilities directly when working with text. Thus the analysis of the degrees and the determination of trends lead to the following conclusion: the higher the degree of manifestation metalinguistic consciousness in the text (valuation levels, theorizing, logic level), the more likely the action tendency to personalize at text making and text perception. On the contrary the lower the degree of manifestation of metalinguistic awareness is, the higher the probability of the action tendency to depersonalization of the linguistic personality. This paper provides examples of secondary texts of group of students followed by the linguistic analysis to illustrate the points presented above.
