The article analyzes the theoretical and applied aspects of intercultural communication in the field of education. The subject of the research is intercultural communication as a space of the deployment of mutual understanding and trust processes of participants in interactive interaction. The aim is to analyze such communication in the context of mechanisms of stigmatization as one of its barriers, to find ways to overcome stigmatization in education. The research methodology is based on the synthesis of classical and modern theories of intercultural communication, socialization, and stigmatization of the individual (A. Schutz, T. Berger, T. Lukman, I. Goffman et al.). Special attention is paid to the stigmatization of atypical individuals and visible minorities. The conclusion is made about the lack of social perception as one of the possible causes of stigmatization. The method of developing the resources of intercultural communication in the education system of children and adults through collaborative practices is determined. The article analyzes the experience of telecollaborations in the studies of E. Grazzi, S. Marantzana, R. O'Dowd. The practical significance of the work lies in the substantiation of telecollaboration as a form of active intersubjectivity and joint meaning formation, reflection and hermeneutics of participants in intercultural communication.
