The stylistic connotations of transitional words used in artistic works vary. This is done to define the nature of the work of art and enhance its artistic quality; to provide figurative representation of ideas; and to link factors that expand the potential impact on the reader. Like other linguistic tools, transitional verbs play a special role in the development of a person’s linguistic sensitivity and the creation and formation of artistic taste. In other words, we will attempt to explain the stylistic coloring of transitional words by examining and presenting them based on factual material. In this regard, examples from works of art from different genres will be provided. Stylistic connotation covers not only lexical units but also all linguistic tools in accordance with the conditions for expressing thought in the text. It is evident that words continue to be used with stylistic undertones in both works of art and everyday speech. However, their nature changes depending on the context: in certain circumstances, a stylistic connotation with a negative meaning can express a positive meaning, or vice versa, a stylistic connotation with a positive meaning can express a negative meaning. Linguistic tools of different levels, especially lexical units, have not only their inherent meaning but also stylistic coloring (vividness).
