Stylistic peculiarities of the opening sentences of the works of the English fiction literature

The article deals with the stylistic peculiarities of the opening sentences of the fictional works of the English authors. There are analyzed the linguistic means and the stylistic devices used by the authors for the creation of the verbal examples. There is concluded about the typology of the initiative sentences, there are demonstrated the further prospects of the study.
