Strategic aspects of modernization and integration in education. Part 1

This paper discusses the status transformation in institutes of higher education during the current reforms in the Russian Federation. We are investigating the characteristics of Russian educational institutions as subjects of the market economy-universities play a leading role in the development of regional and macroeconomic systems (within the framework of the major national projects). The study presents the objectives for university merging and the advantages of transnational cooperation in education.
