Strategic Directions for Protecting Population Health in the System of State Governance of Russia

This study is devoted to an analysis of the current system of state governance in the field of population health protection in the Russian Federation. It examines the key strategic directions for healthcare development, as enshrined in federal regulations, particularly the Healthcare Development Strategy to 2025. Key challenges in interagency coordination and shortcomings of the current system for organizing medical care are identified. The necessity of a comprehensive approach to the formulation of state policy on citizen health protection is substantiated, envisaging the integration of efforts by various agencies and levels of government. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that the current public administration system for public health in Russia is undergoing active reform. It is emphasized that the adoption of the Healthcare Development Strategy aims to create a legal basis for coordinating the activities of various agencies and levels of government in addressing national security challenges related to public health.
