The author considers questions of forecasting and planning of land resources use in the Russian Federation. Determines the importance of planning the use of such resources in the strategic planning system. Analyzing the strategies that exist in all regions of Russia, it comes to the conclusion that the developers of regional strategies pay insufficient attention to land resources.
