Strategy for development of the border municipal district at the intersection of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Silk Road (the case of Kyakhta district of the Buryat Republic)

The article presents the strategic imperatives of developing the municipal economy of the bordering Kyakhta region of the Republic of Buryatia in the context of its integration into the trade and economic chains of The Eurasian Economic Union and the northern corridor of The Great Silk Road. We have analyzed the current state of Kyakhta region, advantages and disadvantages of its economy. Also, the main stages of developing the strategy are considered. The results of the research can serve as a basis for strategic decisions in administration of "Kyakhta District" municipality.
