Structure and content of associative fields "grandmother" and "grandfather" in the Khakass and Russian language consciousness

This article offers the results of a study of the Khakass and Russian associative fields “grandmother” and “grandfather”, formed as a result of a free associative experiment. The analysis has revealed a predominantly positive perception of images of grandparents in the language consciousness of both groups of respondents, as well as a dominant group of reactions indicating old age, kind and caring character, wisdom, and stereotyped activities or objects associated with the images in question.
