Статья посвящена комплексному анализу функционального метода В.Я. Проппа, изложенного в фундаментальном труде «Морфология сказки». Рассматриваются теоретические основания метода, система функций и драматических персонажей, механизмы трансформаций сказочного сюжета, а также влияние научной парадигмы на развитие структурализма, нарратологии и современных медиаисследований. Особое внимание уделяется применимости пропповской модели за пределами фольклористики, критическим оценкам метода и его современным интерпретациям.

The structure and transformation of a fairy tale
This article focuses on a comprehensive analysis of the functional method of V.Ya. Propp, described in his fundamental work “Morphology of fairy tales”. The theoretical foundations of the method, the system of functions and dramatic characters, the mechanisms of transformations of the fairy-tale plot, as well as the influence of the scientific paradigm on the development of structuralism, narratology, and modern media research are considered. Special attention is paid to the applicability of the Propp’s model beyond folklore studies, critical assessments of the method and its modern interpretations.
