The structure of social ideas about risk of federal firefighting service personnel

The article deals with the specific features of how firefighters imagine risk. It is shown that while reflecting the phenomenon the firefighters include in its content such components as “danger”, “adrenaline”, “courage”, “life”, “fire”, “fear”, ‘freedom”, “racing”, “height”, “speed”, etc. It is concluded, that integrated by an individual consciousness and determined by psychological peculiarities and previous firefighters’ experience, the risk appears to be perceived as a variable-based, multi-component phenomenon.
